A landmark transformation in the heart of Newtyle — this historic railway yard has been thoughtfully restored and converted into six high-quality terraced homes, blending original character with modern comfort to create a unique and timeless living space.

Newtyle Redevelopment – Complete Renovation into 6 Terraced Homes
We recently completed the full renovation and conversion of a listed former railway yard in Newtyle, transforming this historically significant site into six beautifully finished terraced houses. This ambitious project combined sensitive restoration with contemporary design, breathing new life into a landmark building while preserving its character and heritage.
Working closely with conservation officers, architects, and our team of skilled subcontractors, we carefully restored the original stonework and architectural features, ensuring that the historic integrity of the site was maintained throughout. Each unit was thoughtfully designed to make the most of the building’s unique structure, incorporating modern layouts, energy-efficient systems, and high-quality materials.
The terraced homes now offer bright, spacious living areas, bespoke kitchens, stylish bathrooms, and comfortable bedrooms, all finished to a high specification. Where possible, original features such as exposed beams and stone walls were retained and restored, adding charm and authenticity to the interiors. Modern touches like underfloor heating, double glazing, and high-performance insulation were integrated discreetly to ensure comfort without compromising the building’s historic character.
Externally, the site was landscaped to provide private gardens and communal spaces, with new access points and parking areas designed to blend seamlessly with the rural surroundings. This development not only preserves a piece of local history but also provides much-needed, high-quality housing within the heart of the Newtyle community. The result is a successful blend of old and new—where heritage meets contemporary living.
